The Adult Education & Workforce Development program provides learners and job seekers access to resources to positively prepare and advance their futures. This is done through GED/High School Equivalency preparation, basic skills courses and job preparedness initiatives.
Our Adult Ed GED prep is formatted primarily in a one-on-one tutoring setting, with some small group classes. The tutoring sessions focus on mastering the skills to successfully complete testing in the areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies and Science. For those who may not be at the stage of beginning GED prep, we also provide training for basic math, reading and computer skills. Along with the academic curriculum, we also provide work-ready workshops on resume building or interview preparation in collaboration with partners such as PA CareerLink. More workforce development workshops and events are on the horizon to help our learners in that transition from GED completion to career.
